The choker style necklace has been beloved by royalty from before the 1stcentury right up to the Victorian ages due to its high glamour and elegance, especially when adorned with beautiful stones. Even today the choker exudes grace and richness, perfect to pair with a longer necklace or make a statement on its own.

The main band of the choker made to accentuate the front of the neck is a delicate clear resin featuring a simple floral design. In the centre, small petals of romantic burgundy roses from vintage English rose gardens surround a small blue bud, crowned with delicate yellow Hypercium (otherwise known as Jerusalem Star) stamens. Dustings of gold foil, green leaves and the palest pink miniature rose petals complete the piece.

Nine gorgeous oval white freshwater pearls hang from the band, finished by a cluster of two small garnet beads each. The combination of pearl and garnet has been used prolifically in Victorian jewellery, and the effect that the small golden flower shaped bead-caps give the garnets accentuates without overpowering and mirrors the glimmering gold foil. The pearls and garnets rest delicately on the nape of the neck, eluding wonderfully to female beauty and sensuality.

Either side of the resin-band there are 3 strands of tiny seed pearls gracing the neck. To fasten, both comfort and aesthetics have been taken into consideration. We have used a beautiful embroidery thread and a handcrafted matching slider bead, meaning that not only is the choker easily adjustable to your own measurements, but it looks just as beautiful from the back as it does from the front.

Collected in the meadows of English spring, the real blooms that we use in our jewellery are kept as vibrant and fresh as always through the meticulous work we carry out at arthyan over weeks to create this bespoke piece for you.

Please note that since the choker is handmade, it does not have a factory processed uniform finish. We consider this to add to the jewellery’s charming character and to prove authenticity of the labour of love it requires to make the jewellery.

Jhumka (or Jhumki) are traditional and romantic earrings, evocative of large graceful bells. Jhumka are famed and loved for the decorative stones hanging all around the edge of the domes which create the desired swaying and jingling effect. The origin of this unique and beautiful design lies in ancient India where even in the modern age it remains the most popular style of earring.

The earring-backs are securely embedded within the resin to ensure a strong finish and comfort for the ear. They are attached to a robust round pendant which encases sparkling gold leaf and preserved fragments of sweet pink and burgundy rose petals, along with slivers of emerald green leaves. We have taken inspiration from the antique ‘Karanphool Jhumka’ (Translated meaning: ‘A flower for the ear’).

Hanging from the pendant is the main piece: the bell-dome. Expertly crafted in clear resin, a dusting of gold-leaf is spread around the dome, glistening in the light and enticing passers-by to look your way. To match the pendant, real mauve rose petals collected from the famous English rose-gardens are held within.

Gorgeous dark burgundy-red uncut Garnet beads hang delicately from the edge of the dome, understated and simple. Their beauty enhances the lustful colours of the roses and brings an exotic touch of glamour to your dress. Hung by gold-plated jump rings, they will sway sensually with every movement.

Collected in the meadows of English spring, the real blooms that we use in our jewellery are kept as vibrant and fresh as always through the meticulous work we carry out at arthyan over weeks to create this bespoke piece for you.

Although the earrings are statement pieces and large, the resin-material and hollow domes mean that they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Please note that since the earrings are handmade, they do not have a factory processed uniform finish. We consider this to add to the jewellery’s charming character and to prove authenticity of the labour of love it requires to make the jewellery.

Half-moon earrings were popular in Greece as far back as 500BC, but first saw real popularity in 16th century India as ‘chandbali’. In Hindi, ‘chand’ literally translates to ‘moon’, referring to the beautiful and evocative shape of the moon hanging from the ear.

These earrings combine two of the most popular and traditional Indian earrings into one. Within the moon-shape are gorgeous fragmented pieces of pink and red rose petals, accentuated by the gold leaf behind which emanates moonlight shining through in a warm glow. Suspended from the moon are pale pink uncut rose-quartz, arranged in order of size, and in the middle a delicate golden jhumka filled entirely with gold leaf.

Rose quartz is universally known as a symbol of eternal love, combining with the rose petals to make these earrings a gorgeous dedication of devotion and adoration.

The half-hoop design of the earrings perfectly echoes the moon shape, but if you wish you can also thread a fish-hook through the hoop to elongate the earrings further. Otherwise, the hoop threads straight through the ear.
